Large Collections of Old Wills and Testaments Hit the Internet

Exciting times are coming! The expansion of the pioneer websites on the internet helps researchers like they have never been helped before.  Virginia Pioneers continues to add images of old county wills. North Carolina Pioneers is currently digitizing wills for Mecklenburg County dating from 1783 to 1844. Georgia Pioneers has the largest collection of databases, such as bible records, obituaries, confederate deaths, genealogy notes, American Indians, traced families including links to sources, and images of county wills state-wide during the late 1700s to about 1900. South Carolina Pioneers has a broad collection of transcribed wills. Southeastern Genealogy has digitized several counties of Tennessee wills.  These giant-sized projects help the genealogist tremendously in locating information in the court houses. The images are easy to view online.
