Researching is Tough

If you are searching for your ancestors you are engaged in a sophistocated pursuit of detective work and could probably perform well in this industry. The recent past is easy...birth and death certificates, census records and old cemeteries. The further back in time demands some real mind-thrashing ideas. Regardless, the county records where a person resided must be thoroughly purged of its information. And, do not forget to repeat the process for everyone with that same surname in the same time frame. You, as the genealogist, must glean all data and be able to identify each person. This process weeds out those who are not kin.
