Searching for the Daughters?

From one census year to the next, daughters get married. So it is easy to miss some. But they can be found. Search the estates, vouchers, annual returns for a husband giving a receipt for his wife. (married daughters could not inherit) Examine each year's annual returns and identify those receiving payments or distributions, until the final return when payouts to the heirs is complete. Then, go to the county records and list every female marriage with that surname for a particular time range.
