Find Old Maps

Families located around creeks and lakes, a water source.  Since maps change, we need to search for old maps in the time period of our ancestor. The reason that maps change is because of large lakes and reservoirs which sponge up the surrounding land. The TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) is an example of many old homeplaces and cemeteries being under water.   These are some details that we need to bear in mind when searching for old homeplaces.
